Alan Colman, PA-C

Alan Colman, PA-C is a nationally certified Physician Assistant with more than three decades of clinical experience across interventional pain management, hospital medicine, cardiology, and orthopedic surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (Cum Laude) from the Medical College of Georgia and holds active licensure in Maine and Michigan.

Throughout his career, Alan has practiced in tertiary care hospitals, critical access hospitals, and specialty clinics, with significant experience managing complex medical patients. Most recently, he was an integral part of the Interventional Pain Management program at Northern Light, where he assisted in the evaluation and treatment of patients with chronic and complex pain disorders. He has a deep understanding of advanced pain therapies and comprehensive care plans.

At Apex Interventional Pain Specialists, Alan plays an integral role in the evaluation and management of patients living with acute and chronic pain conditions. He supports interventional procedures and develops individualized treatment strategies focused on improving function, mobility, and overall quality of life. His extensive background in hospital-based medicine allows him to confidently care for medically complex patients while maintaining a compassionate and steady approach.

Outside of medicine, Alan enjoys skiing the slopes, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and spending time on the lake. His appreciation for Maine’s outdoors reflects his active spirit and deep connection to the community he serves.
